The Tandbergs are nice, but a pain to work on as I understand it. And, I have stripped a few Akai M8s and Roberts decks for parts to sell, myself. Some guys love those things. I got three off of CL for $50 and yanked the amps. Tried rebuilding one pair, but effed one of them up. The sold two pairs for $40 each and the recapped, albeit partially functional, set for $50

This one is a portable Tandberg 64. Smaller reel, 7.25"? I'm guessing. Early 60's vintage.

Someone on AK posted pics of one of those recently---Fully restored and operational. Claimed it was a pretty sweet machine. Sure looked nice. Except he had one pic of it in FF standing upright and no retainers on the reels...
