Tornadoes: wide spread devastation

Many deaths and devastation were due to tornadoes, especially in Mayfield Kentucky.

Great sympathy and condolence to the families affected.

We spent Friday night Saturday morning with the TV's on and listening to the rain, watching the lighting and hearing thunder. The worst of the storms were south and west of my local.

The local coverage is pretty intensive and the devastation wide spread. Many will have lost everything and some of these towns will never fully recover.

Tornadoes are an ever present danger we have reluctantly accepted and take heed whenever alerted.

I always impressed on members of my household never to take the alerts lightly. There is a place in the house which is deemed the safest.

The visual here is so frighten, it hurts in a profound way.
