I haven't been here very long, only since earlier this month, but since signing on I have to say that the tone here has been really exemplary. The posts and the posters have been thoughtful both in the expression of their opinion and their regard for opposing points of view.

I've only heard one feeble little banshee wail in the time I've been here. It was the first post from a recent subscriber and it was politely but firmly rebuked by, among others, people on his side of the fence. It wasn't his political viewpoint that was criticized but the intemperate manner in which he expressed it. I think that's the way is ought to be, don't you?

We haven't heard from that person since. My hope is either that we won't or that, if we do, he will have seen the light.
