I was thinking more along the lines of a couple of brunettes, a jungle gym, maybe some handcuffs....

As I wrote, I have not read anything in its total and proper context from a credible source that leads me to believe your interpretation is correct. Do you have any original source material that fits the bill?

And as far as I know, the only political figure shot dead as a result of Saturday's horrible shootings was a conservative Bush appointee, U.S. District Judge John Roll, who had received death threats in the past over disputes involving illegal immigration. Yet I don't see conservatives railing about tighter gun control and banning words and symbols.

As you may know, illegal immigration was high on the list of Loughner's problems with the government in general.

As you may know, illegal immigration was high on the list of Loughner's problems with the government in general.

Judge Roll, although a Bush appointee, was not nearly strong enough on illegal immigration as the AZ folks wanted. He has allowed a lawsuit by some undocumented workers to go forward. So it is quite possible that the was a target of the shooter. That would take his shooting spree from attempted assassination to assassination - a second amendment response to an unpopular ruling by a lifetime appointed judge.

Maher was spot on. The fact that he's able to make many of the GOP and NRA positions look completely ridiculous is why he's vilified by them (as is the case with anyone they disagree with BTW).

He said that's how he hears it. I don't think he has to site a source for what he thinks. That's more of a right-wing thing.
