Perhaps, but IMO that didn't make up for the tedious and slow pace of the movie.
I saw it at the theater. Several people walked out midway. I considered doing so.

See it. Great, archtypical characters. You can dig the rebellion as presented, but it's really storytelling at a more abstract and symbolic level, the struggle of all against the oppressions of life, natural and man-made, including self-made.

I liked it and got the critics on this one.
It Follows, otoh was imo excessively overrated. Dunno anyone that liked it, could have called it "It Wallows (very, very slowly)". They should have allowed web browsing during this thing.

You are missing a great one. One of my favorite scenes is where Nicholson takes all of the asylum patients on an unauthorized fishing trip and when he is confronted on the yacht introduces each of the inmates as a distinguished faculty professor or scientist as the camera zooms in on their faces: all of a sudden they are transformed from dispossessed members of society into learned men.

Yes. I believe I have every movie she's ever done.
If I had to pick a favorite I think it would be " Let's make love"
Her best musical is " Gentlemen prefer Blonds" Best number " Diamonds are a girls best friend, followed up by the little dance number she does at the French cafe.....
Her draw to me is her lovely optimism/s.

Then you probably don't like "The Misfits".
