That was my understanding. I suppose that any Canadian style single payer plan, which would be my preference, is not on the table. Too drastic of a change.

That is almost certainly the case. The cries of Socialism killed it before it got a chance.

Well, it's a cinch we won't know, seeing how the Dems killed the idea of posting the Bill on the web for 72 hours before voting on it. I can't help but think they are trying to hide something.

They're hiding it for Beck and Rush. They don't need them twisting things around to make it sound like protecting Insurance Company profits is somehow good for you and me. I still don't know how they sell that and people keep buying. No more crap. Just get it done.

Every now and again we get away for a day or two to a desolate location...no tv or visitors...just the two of us. Came back today and I had 18 emails......enjoy this one...

Conservatives vs. Liberals
If a conservative doesn't like guns, he or she doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, they declare that no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.

If a liberal is, he wants to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, she thinks about how to defeat his enemy.

A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, they quietly enjoy their life.

If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a black or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.

Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.

A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.

Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.

A liberal wants to silence any mention of God or religion.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his.
