"A Single Shot" with William H. Macy and Sam Rockwell.

Kind of a dark film, but very good.

Saw 'Hank: Five Years from the Brink'. I get that it could be and probably is at least a little onesided, but it's still excellent. He appears to wear his heart on his sleeve a bit, when asked about the bonuses he looked deeply embarrassed.

Too it's the drive these folks have, the folks in high positions, I find fascinating. I'd rather watch them in documentaries than do it

Low Winter Sun on AMC is pretty good from the pilot I saw....
except the protagonists are evil...but that is the trend today it seems

Watched the second encounter between the Mexicans Marquez and
Vasquez on Showtime.

Boxing is really a savage spectacle.

Hey, Sci Fi freaks. Orson Scott Card's 'Enders Game' has been made into a movie. Cool beans! Coming out this weekend.

Got to love CGI. I would really like to see a remake of Dune.

The first Dune was quite good, but flawed. Biggest flaw was that the creators forgot that movie audiences don't have the time to do the imaginative work book readers can do. You have to build the movie's world for them, and you have to build it up from a beginning that makes sense immediately. Dune-the-movie dropped too-big already-built pieces of creation onto the audience too fast.

Compare to Star Wars and Fellowship of the Ring for two movies that do step the viewer into their complex universes in a way that they can deal with.
