This new law which controls the voting the process only applies to Harris county which includes Houston.

The measure gives the secretary of state under certain conditions the power to run elections in Harris County, home to Houston and 4.8 million residents. It follows a bill approved days earlier that shifts the oversight of elections from its appointed elections administrator to the county clerk and county assessor.

Just a technicality transferring to the county clerk & assessor. Real intent is for the Secretary of State to take over, and if he/she is anything like their AG, guess what?
This whole myth about Dems wanting one party control is a myth propagated while the Repugnants are slowly but surely turning Texas and Florida into one party states. I had a MAGAt tell me once that CA is a one party state. Told him every one there gets to vote by mail, no questions asked and the current speaker of the Freedumb house is a Californian. How TF does that happen? Usual blank brainless stare, he has not been programmed with another mindless response.
