I recall, in days of yore, when the wise and magnanimus powers that be in Northeastern Ohio privatized natural gas, telling the good citizenry tales of wonderous savings and superior service that only the private sector could bring. That Christmas every dwelling was cold as an icebox, and the inhabitants therein adorned in winter wear. One could leave butter out on the table for days, and it would not soften.
Because what the wise and magnanimus ones failed to tell them, was that all of the gas still came from ONG---through ONGs pipes. That ONG was selling the gas to the private sector, who in turn resold it at a profit and that a fee for the use of the "delivery system" was designed to "generate" even
more revenue for the utility..........
Careful what you ask for, Sunshine. In this world, everything has a pricetag.
