Fire and rain.

I seen on our news that some are flooded by rain and out west it is so dry that fire is burning houses. Anyways, just wanting to say I hope everyone is alright.

Pretty terrible flooding back in the home area. We had the nations biggest fire a few weeks back in the small patch of woods in this area. Thankfully a steady rain came and gave the fire fighters the boost they needed to contain it. There are still fires west of here. You can see the smoke.

I join with Hillbilly in wishing all safety and well being for you and yours!

That fire out near Banning is a bad one. They've called out the big boys, DC10s, to drop fire retardant along with super scoopers and helos to drop water. Banning sits between two mountain ranges where the winds are funneled thru. Bad place for a brush fire. There was another one a few days ago closer to me up Ortega Hwy which didn't have as much wind to drive it, the firefighters knocked it down pretty quick. It's fire season and no rain in sight hereabouts. Man, I'm sick of living in a desert even if the beach is only a couple miles away. Who cares...

I saw the pics of the flooding around Nashville. It looked pretty bad. Y'all take care over there in Tennessee,
ya hear Hillbilly?

Thanks, guys. We're fine out here in the hills. Nashville isn't nearly as bad as 2010. Whats weird though is they took steps to prevent flooding certain area's, but this time the area's that didn't go under water went under water this time while the area's under water last time are ok. Hard to stop water flow, where ever it's built up to prevent it from flooding one spot, it just ends up on someone else.

I saw other places on our news too, northwest of TN that were pretty deep. Then I saw the Rio Grand was going dry and farmers forced out. Thats serious.

The Gasconade river in MO is causing some serious issue. Kinda ugly but not sure if it's '93 bad yet.
