Did you ever notice that this big lie of yours, "All you nasty lefties do is rely on ad hom," is ad hom?

A new dominant omicron strain in the U.S. is driving up cases — and reinfections

Oh joy.

Ad hom is an attack on "the man". I'm attacking a belief system and its MO. When discussing with an individual I rarely go "against the man" or even their source. Note the key word, "rarely". Sometimes it's important to call out out and out stupidity. For me, stupidity is different from ignorance in that is is ignorance when one shouldn't be. e.g. a cop pulling you over for speeding, but he doesn't know the speed limit. That's stupidity.

Generally, if I'm going to impeach a source, I like to give examples to make my case, rather than just make a "stupid" comment based on my unsupported opinion. e.g. "He actually thinks intelligent folks will listen to his rants, lol." Which is a comment made directly about me. The comedy there is just how many PM's I get from other members on LOTS of sites over the years complimenting me on my really long fuse as well as how well I make my points. And this doesn't even get into the feedback I get in the real world. So sure, I get into a nursery and some of the kids go nuts when I say things they think are "crazy" and assume that since the other kids think it's crazy too, they somehow share the opinion of the rest of the world. They don't, and I find their insults a bit comical.

Also, I didn't say "All you nasty lefties do is rely on ad hom". That is a paraphrase and an incorrect inference. To be fair, I don't consider leftists to be nasty. I consider them to be mostly young people, with opinions and ideas very similar to my own when I was young. Most of us grow up and re-think our world view. Those that don't, we call "gray ponytails".

Have you ever seen the movie, "The way we were"? The end is quite interesting, and educational. That really happens.

Define "case".

What really happens? That old lovers meet after years and find the connection truly is gone? That some people are still activists in midlife? Don't see anything profound here. I'd say the ending has impact only if you've watched the whole movie and and invested in the characters and story.
