Besides, we've got those "flying carps", and I would be mighty pissed off it one of them took my windshield out.

Kind of sad, really. We used to go out on the Missouri, 15 miles away, set up camp on a sand bar, get drunker than Cooter Brown, cook steaks of a driftwood fire, etc.

Take care,

Ocean fishin'- sashimi is what those raw fish lovers use 'em for. Pretty damn good steaked and BBQ'd. Similar to east coast amberjack.

Hey D-Ray,
Moderation? How in hillbily sam would you be able to keep yurself ethically straight while cutting others free speech?

If we have whinners here, tell them to change the channel and go watch Martha Stewart make a christmas wreath or something.

You have heard me say before that I think integrity and responsibility should be first, and free speach second, but I haven't a clue how to do that either. Just the mumblings of an idealogical fool.

BTW folks, I ma back because I am on some new meds. If I get unrully or stupid(maybe I should say more stupid), let me know.

I feel I am centered(because I know what I think is right) and that those right wing folks are way out there.

They got me on this stuff called nuvigil. It is essentially a speed to fight fatigue. And man-o-man-o-man-o-man-o-man-o-man-o-man-o-man does it work.
Good morning everyone

I don't know anything about speed, coffee still does the trick for me.
I have hunted and fished for about 40 something years so I know a little about
that as it applies to the southeast. Fast flat shooting rifles have their place
in the world but down here a slower moving 30 caliber seems to down more
deer than the others. If a deer is hit anywhere near the front with a 30/30
it's down. I have seen deer hit with 260's, 270's 7mm's and the like at close
range that were never recovered. I think the speed coupled with possible
brush/ angles and the bullet just richochets and zips the hair off.
I'm pushing 48 and can't run them down and stick them with a knife or
spear anymore so if it's all the same I would prefer to just shoot one when
I get hungry.
If I could only pick one caliber for medium/ large game in north america
I would go with a .308 but most any caliber well placed will take a deer
or other large game animals.

Jack was not all of that smaller calibre rifle ammo developed first by the military? The idea being that if you wounded your opponent it would take two of his buddies to carry him off the field. If you really want someone dead (snipers) then they use a heavier calibre. Then I am no hunter so what do I know.

Hi Mark, I'll be stickin' with the vicodin,. Just got home from seeing the sawbones, surgery went well. A little loopy but doin' ok. They did a nerve block
(imagine your right side numb from the neck down.) I'm sure some would say here that it's an improvement as we leftys are numb from the neck up.

Next time things get heated around here I am going to refer them to you. Vicodin, mmmm.

Doc won't give me that, he knows I like it too much.

Hope you get to feeling better.
