Lawmakers To Vote On Making Concealed Carry Gun Permits Like Drivers Licences

Hope this one passes and signed! Funny how fast they can work sometimes....

Lawmakers To Vote On Making Concealed Carry Gun Permits Like Drivers Licenses: Today the House of Representatives passed legislation that will enable gun owners who have concealed-weapons permits from one state to carry their weapons to another state, regardless of the gun laws in that state. Currently every state except Illinois issues some form of concealed weapons permit. Supporters of the bill say it creates a uniform standard, critics say it erodes state rights.

Gonna pay hell to get Cali to fall in line with this.

I should not have let mine expire but I was a bit miffed that there was no reciprocity in the state I moved to before I came here.

One nice thing about NV...it's still got that wild west feeling here. Always love the comments when folks open carry.....

I've given up on changing gun laws in California. Now that governor moonbeam is back, I see nothing but further degradation of the state. The democrats here are way too involved with satisfying their public union pals and environmentalists. Let business be damned is their attitude.

We had the permit deal, scrapped it, and now can C.C. without a permit.
The only people upset are the cops who were making money off the classes...big surprise there.

My state gives you the option of a lifetime permit to CC. Do not have to register your guns at all. I live in an area right on the KY IN border so being able to cross state lines would be a big plus.

I've witnessed guns being confiscated at a range by Game Wardens because the shooter did not have a permit and was from another state. Took him away in cuffs and towed his truck. Bad day for him!

Time to allow gunfights on the streets again? Likely lower the NRA membership a lot...

Nah, the National Republican Association sent everyone a memo reminding them that they're only allowed to shoot smart assed Canucks.

Urban legend. http://www.straightdope.com/columns/...off-one-on-one

We have more gun fights today in the streets with gangs living in Lefty states that have mega gun control laws.

I hope you were kidding...?
