Looking At The House Votes Through A National Lens

During this election, even though the Republicans retained control of the House, Democrats received about 550,000 more votes than did Republicans in all House races combined. There were also pretty anomalous results in some states where the President won, Democrats won the Senate races but the Republicans won a majority of House seats. I have to think that, had the Republicans been less successful in gerrymandering their Congressional Districts we'd see a very different composition in the HoR.
