It figures. Shafted again.

http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/08/...ef=igoogle_cnn

Senator Ted Kennedy's demise means that my state of Massachusetts will get to elect an interim U.S. Senator within the next 160 days. The race promises to be very interesting. Until I read this:

"So who's on the list of possible contenders?

Start with the state's 10-member House delegation. With the exception of 72-year-old Rep. John Olver, each one is considered a possible contender, said Bill Mayer, a Northeastern University political scientist."

Marvelous! My representative is the only one not considered a possible contender! Once again, the clown from my district is a do-nothing LOSER! The only reason this jerk keeps getting elected is because he's a Democrat. In 2008, he ran for Congress unopposed! He isn't even a lawyer by trade. He's a chemistry teacher!

And look at these Ideological ratings:

"Ideological ratings

* American Civil Liberties Union, 95 percent in 2003–2004.
* American Conservative Union, Lifetime score of 2%.
* Americans for Democratic Action, Lifetime score of 97%.
* NARAL Pro-Choice America, 100% for 2000, 2001, 2003–2005.
* National Journal, Composite Liberal Score of 96% for 2003[5] and 2005.
* Republican Liberty Caucus, 40% for 2005."

Tom- Sounds like you have up there in the People's Republic, the same variety of choice as we have down here in music-They play the whole gamut from Country to Country AND Western...But, if you ever wanted to marry your favorite shade tree, I'm certain that would be approved, perhaps even be encouraged...

Don't feel too bad. Look at how badly we got shafted with David Patterson.

Sandy, we don't joke about it being the Commiewealth of Massachusetts for nothing. And to think before 1991, we had a steady stream of Republican reps!

Kamakiri, I see the troubles you guys in New York are goin' through. I do sympathize!

Given all the differences between states why do we call it the UNITED States, would not the American Balkans be more accurate?
