Trouble in Moscow?
'MOSCOW — Russian police in riot gear detained more than 1,000 protesters Saturday at a demonstration against the exclusion of opposition politicians from the ballot for an upcoming city council election, a monitoring group said, marking another flare of anti-government defiance a week after Moscow’s largest opposition rally in years.
Police said around 3,500 people gathered near City Hall for the unauthorized protest organized by prominent opposition figure Alexei Navalny. Earlier this week, a Russian court sentenced Navalny to 30 days in jail for calling for the demonstration. A handful of other prominent opposition politicians also were arrested before the rally took place.
OVD-Info, a monitoring group that tracks political arrests in Russia, said more than 1,000 people were detained during police sweeps Saturday. State-run news agencies, including Tass, also reported more than 1,000 detentions, citing police. In previous mass detentions, many people were released after being held for several hours. The Moscow police had earlier said they had made 295 arrests, the Associated Press reported, but did not offer a final number.' WP

While we're dealing with Vladdie Poutine's BFF and asset here in the states, Russians are marching in the streets of Moscow.
Good. More power to them.

Moscovites are always marching.
While we are often consumed with Poutine, the reality is that in the big picture he and his cohorts are small players- merely nuisance.
The guy who matters is Xi.

Amusing how you always make these "sage" pronouncements with absolutely no facts to back you up. Kinda like your idiot hero Fucker Carlson. Are you simply parroting this clown? Seems that way. You and Whell have a lot in common.

WTF facts re China vs Russia? Just go in Walmart. Then go to Africa, Australia, South America, etc.
Russia - an economy comparable in size to say California or Texas.

Pootin interfered with our elections, the very core of our democratic system. He is very likely at least partly responsible for the “election” of an incompetent fool to the presidency. What do you not understand about that!?

Any Russian who survived the nineties will likely have nothing to do with Navalny.
Putin pacified the Russian radical Muslims. With regards to Muslims, this Navalny guy is to the right of Donald Trump, and with his platform, Russia would be in turmoil again with its Muslim population.
Navalny's ultimate aim: Destabilization, then Balkanization so that foreign entities can get assets cheaply...pennies on the dollar.
Anyhow, for eight years Vlad has been preparing. He was caught flat-footed once. Never again.
