Me too.
Although if I can find some KLH Model Fives or Twenty-threes they are going to come home. I guess those HPM-100s and Yamaha NS-1000s will too for a good price.

Best ever speaker is yet to be made. So the AR4x is probably second best.

So my wife and I took a little overnighter to celebrate our anniversary and went through two Missouri Towns known for junking: Parkville and Weston. Actually, Parkville is a bit more artsy than junky, but I managed to find a copy of Rough Mix (Pete Townsend and Ronnie Lane) in one of Parkville stores. There is also a nice science store there. We ate at Frank's, and the Chicken Marsala was tremendous.
In Weston, there was an active hardware store that is a hoarder's delight. Junk is stacked head high in the windows and the aisles are nearly impassable because of merchandise. I managed to find some old fashioned leaded solder that must have been in the store for 20 years. But the vast majority of the shops appealed much more to my wife than to me (except for the McCormicks Distillery store - which offered "samples" for a quarter - I found their Irish Cream good enough to pick up a liter).
Regards,
D-Ray

The Cairo Trilogy by Naguib Mahfouz......a very long triology about Egypt during the 1920s...it will be on the list for 2016 I think. Have to finish Proust and conquer Moby Dick next.
Oh the mini-mart on base had some Stoli rasberry vodka on sale for $6.90....Russian vodka for that price is always a score. I bought two.

I would like to get the Soviet era bottles of vodka Hedric Smith discussed in his book The Russians, where the bottle breaks once you open it, forcing one and your companions to imbibe the whole vessel.

Benjamin Orr The Lace on cd...sort of rare I think....Wounded Bird release, a label that specializes in out of print cds.
Swatch Irony put in a new battery works. I am starting to collect Swatches, the Irony line are metal made as opposed to the plastic line. I may have said that earlier somewhere.
Passed on a Decca Live At Leeds with all the fake documents in the jacket. It was a buck but the vinyl was all scratched to hell.
That NAD Reference 7000 monitor is still at the pawn shop for $129...time to go in and offer $50 it has been there 3 months.
