Dirty Devin Nunes-GOTP, Busted!

"Rep. Devin Nunes used political donations to pay for nearly $15,000 in tickets to Boston Celtics basketball games as well as winery tours and lavish trips to Las Vegas, according to reports from the Federal Election Commission and two nonpartisan watchdog groups.

Nunes, R-Calif., has reportedly been a Celtics fan since high school, though he grew up in Tulare, California. He used the money from his political action committee last year on three occasions to buy tickets.

His PAC also spent about $42,741 since 2013 on catering, site rentals, hotels and meals in Las Vegas. The most recent instance was March 9, when the PAC spent $7,229 at seven different restaurants and hotels in Las Vegas.

On June 19, the PAC’s expenditures included nearly $5,000 spent at six wineries in Paso Robles and Santa Margarita, both outside his district in California, and about $5,000 to Gold Coast Limousine the same day."

One of the slimiest of the Trump enablers, so this is no surprise. The Fresno Bee used to endorse him, before he became a Trumpkin sleazeball.

He has out-raised himself to the tune of $7 million for his campaign so will get reelected easily.

Devin Nunes, in secretly recorded tape, tells donors GOP majority is necessary to protect Trump: ‘We’re the only ones’
Quote:
Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, appears to have moved from criticizing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election to strategizing about how to blunt its impact should it imperil President Trump.

The most promising instrument in this effort, he suggested in unfiltered remarks last month, is retaining a GOP-controlled Congress.
Quote:
“If Sessions won’t unrecuse and Mueller won’t clear the president, we’re the only ones, which is really the danger,” Nunes said at an event for Republican Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, referring to Jeff Sessions, the attorney general, and Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel. Sessions said last year that he would keep his distance from inquiries related to the 2016 election owing to his role in Trump’s campaign — a move that has frustrated the president, leading him to blame his own attorney general for the “Russian Witch Hunt Hoax.”

“I mean, we have to keep all these seats,” Nunes added. “We have to keep the majority. If we do not keep the majority, all of this goes away.”
Quote:
Under our Constitution, the duty of Congress is not to clear the President. The duty of Congress is to be a check and balance on the Executive Branch, and to pursue the facts wherever they may lead.

Devin Nunes should resign for perverting the oath he took. https://t.co/ugc7CBgG39

The GOP’s plan, I believe, is outrage fatigue. This administration and its enablers serve up outrage after outrage, on a daily basis. They’re counting on normalizing bad behavior, and pointing fingers at the far less egregious behavior of the Clintons, to confuse and exhaust voters.

Was watching POV last night. Idiot “young earthers” preaching that the earth is 6,000 years old, despite all evidence to the contrary. The anti-science crowd, all GOP enablers, are indoctrinating children with this nonsense. They showed a religious nut job who built a Noah’s Ark in KY, filled it with anti-science nonsense, which idiots bring their kids to by the bus load.

Science is losing out to the religious crazies in this country, Bigly. I’m very sad for our children and grandchildren. Morons like Whell are dangerous fools, who propagate this lunacy. Ought to be castrated for the good of the country.

First off, here’s the full quote, in context:

So therein lies what’s like your classic Catch-22 situation where we’re at a -- it puts us in such a tough spot. If Sessions won’t un-recuse and Mueller won’t clear the president, we’re the only ones, which is really the danger. That’s why I keep -- and thank you for saying it by the way -- I mean, we have to keep all these seats. We have to keep the majority. If we do not keep the majority, all of this goes away."
