What the Chinese are doing with renewable energy research is they are taking the long view. With the ability to look beyond the next election cycle they can look to their needs in 50 to 100 years.

Wow, imagine the celibate Chinese.

I know, I know, sorry

I read recently that they are bringing a new medium sized coal fired power plant online every week.

They appear to be more reasonable concerning government regulations.

And before you accuse me of being naive, the one I hate the worst, and one that really frosts my ass, came out of the Bush administration. RRP.

I suppose it's a matter of whose lies do you prefer?

I gotta go with the Pukes. And the "big bucks" have nothing to do with it. That's a wedge issue, and if you take a good look at ALL of the bastards, it's meaningless.

Yeah, and the Soviets used to report yearly increases of agricultural productivity to the tune of 300-500%.

Take their claims with a grain of salt.

They also lay claim to excellent fiscal responsibility. They're full of shit there too.

Fair enough but that is a slippery slop. Generally speaking government regulation is responsible for the middle class leading a fairly safe and equitable life.

Maybe in the big picture this is not worth basing a vote on?

I'm with you Charles. Many on this site make a h*ll of a lot more sense than the composers of that speech last night.
