Sorry for your loss. When my cat died, I was surprised at how attached I had become to him. Fuzzball was my music listening partner for many years. initially, I thought my Magnepans would be destroyed, but he never once scratched them or climbed them. The Australian Shepherds on the ranch used to hate the garbage man. I think it has something to do with the uniform and the noise of the truck. My grandmother would leave money for their troubles on the garbage can lid.

I owned an aggresive dog.

He'd wait for the mailman, who seemed t have a heathy respect for this dog. Barkbarkbark, etc.

He was loose one day at mailtime, next door front yard. He completely ignored the mailman walking by who looked fit to be tied. Must be a territorial thing.
