Dutch PM tells Trump, "No!" in response to Trump's delusional rantings about tariffs. Trump will probably order the blockade of Dutch ports in response.

Even Russia is filing a lawsuit with the WTO against the Lying Dotard's steel and aluminum tariffs. I think that's now seven countries who have appealed this idiotic tariff to the WTO.

EU threatens $300 billion tariffs against U.S. after fresh trade salvo from Trump

They know to target Red states, so a silver lining, but just so unnecessary if Repubes would simply wake up and impeach the dangerous fool before he destroys the economy.

In my company, we use a lot of SS thin foils that come from Europe.
Just got an email from our vendor that a 25% tariff is in effect as of this week and our price will go up by 12.5%. For now the vendor is splitting the cost increase but not for long. MAGA my ass.

So far, Donald Trump’s trade wars have been neither good nor easy to win.

Oh, sure, as the Wall Street Journal’s Ruth Simon reported, some steel producers are benefiting from the new tariffs. But as that same story noted, for every steel-producing firm that’s benefited, there are five steel-using firms that are hurt. Trump claimed last week that large firms like U.S. Steel will be opening new factories, but that appears to be fake news. Furthermore, President Trump’s tariffs are targeted in the worst possible way to benefit the U.S. economy as a whole.

Trump’s tariffs are not just affecting small firms. General Motors also warned that escalating tariffs will lead to job losses in the United States.

Whatever happened to all the bragging about the economy and jobs. Self inflicted sabotage?

The gang that can’t negotiate straight

When it comes to trade negotiations, the Trump administration is either lying to America or lying to itself.

Donny goes to war with corporate America

Wake up, Repubes. Donny is not your friend. Impeach his incompetent ass, before he destroys Obama’s great economic recovery, too.

This column is probably behind a paywall. One can vividly see the corruption and self dealing within the Trump Organization, especially with ZTE. This strictly ego driven trade war will wreak havoc on specific industries and their employees, not to mention permanent loss of jobs from companies moving operations outside the US such as HD. All this to mostly resuscitate a coal and steel industry of the 60's and 70's, long dead and gone.

As tariffs near, Trump’s business empire retains ties to China
Quote:
Chinese government-backed firms are slated to work on parts of two large developments — in Dubai and Indonesia — that will include Trump-branded properties.

The Trumps are the landlord to one of China’s top state-owned banks, which has occupied the 20th floor of Trump Tower in Manhattan since 2008. The bank’s lease is worth close to $2 million annually, according to industry estimates and a bank filing.

And despite the Trump administration’s focus on American manufacturing, assembly-line workers in China still produce blouses, shoes and handbags for the clothing line created by Trump’s daughter Ivanka, a White House adviser.

The tariffs that were set to kick in at 12:01 a.m. Friday are not expected to affect the Trumps’ financial interests, but the family’s business presence in China is awkward as the two countries ratchet up their protectionism.

Trump does everything because he is a mentally ill person with great power, and so an extraordinary danger. It is always a mistake to think his policies have any rational basis or purpose. He WILL destroy the economy with his ever-escalating trade-war against all, unless and until he is stopped.
