I'll support a President, and a party, that encourages employers to be generous long before I'll support one that advances policies that do the opposite.

Finding the right wage is a continuous exercise. It seems to me that a potential downside of raising minimum wage is that it will simply raise prices in the affected market. I dunno. It's one of those relationships that economists draw spiral graphs about in search of equilibrium.

Labor is only a portion of the cost of a good or service. If, for example, the cost of labor for a particular item is, say 10% and wages paid for that item are increased by 10%, the net effect is a 1% increase in the price of the finished product.

Lest we forget that the low wages paid by the titans is made up in relief by paid for by our fellow citizens.
One would think that the free market crowd would be clamoring for an end to such corporate welfare but their heads are so far up their butts and their ears are full of foul fairytales paid for by those titans of industry, they can't see the forest for the trees.
