Electric Vehicles - Love 'em or Hate 'em?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy dead fossil powered vehicles as much as anyone but I think some are approaching EVs all wrong. Instead of making a fuss over how difficult it will be converting to widespread EV use the thinking should be how can we overcome the difficulties. We never could have gotten to the moon thinking how hard it would be instead of "let's make it happen".

The current EV batteries uses a liquid electrolyte which has lower energy density and an inherent risk of battery fire induced by leakage of the liquid electrolyte. Solid state batteries are currently being developed at a furious pace providing for higher energy density while eliminating the risk of battery fire.

Now that the barn doors are open, there will be no turning back. Even the Vette is getting electrified appropriately called the E-Ray along with every other performance and muscle car.

But the MAGAts are having a fit, yet the E version of the F-150 has been sold out in advance for three years.

ROFL. Before I retired, I would sometimes listen to the local traffic station during the morning commute. If I forgot to switch it back to NPR, I would wind up listening briefly to the Reich-wing hate monger Limblow on occasion, which was comic relief. Hate mongering is the only thing keeping AM radio alive these days. Good riddance.

For ~15 years, I would listen to Limbaugh for 10 minutes twice a day, on the way to and from my mid-day workout just to see what kind of outlandish, stupid shit my mother-in-law would be spewing the next time I saw her. I think a fair share of the blame for what the GOP has become can be laid at his doorstep.

Now, many Republicans confuse politics with entertainment, fighting and the "othering" of political adversaries. For example, both Marjorie Traitor Greene and Madison Cawthorne said they developed their political beliefs based upon listening to Limbaugh.

Ditto. Every day to work during the Clinton presidency and I used to get a kick out of all the infantile shit he used to make up and sing on top of that. In the 2000's, I used to listen to Levin & Lars Larson driving through Land Jefferson. Amazing the conspiracies and outright lies they used to make up. DJT took it several notches higher with the help of Faux/Hannity/Carlson.

Edit: Sorry, the region is self named State of Jefferson, not Land Jefferson they pretend they are an independent state and quite hostile to strangers.
