There's a lot of good hard rocking stuff on Looking In, but my two favorites on the album are this one and "Money Can't Save Your Soul."

Y'know...when I heard that Dave Peverett had died, I thought it was a significant loss considering all his work with this band and later with Foghat. But even back then when I mentioned it to anybody around my age, it was few who had a clue who Dave Peverett, or who "Lonesome Dave" was. I can listen to Dave Peverett singing all day long...listening to Jim Morrison has become something of a chore.

Anyway...for your listening pleasure...

As much as I like(d) Savoy Brown, I never really warmed up to Foghat (though I still have their "Rock and Roll" LP in the stack). Foghat seems to have lost some of the mysterious bluesiness of Savoy Brown in favor of generic hard rock. The vocalist Savoy Brown had before Lonesome Dave took over, Chris Youlden, was great too.

Agreed, but every now and then I roll down all four windows on the A4, select "Fool For The City", crank it all the way up, and drive around the neighborhood to annoy all my white conservative christian neighbors over in Wheaton, and energize my biker pal down the street. Why do the bikers like Foghat so much?
