There is some kind of psychological thing going on with people when they see a singular incident of something in the news and immediately assume it's going on everywhere. "I heard they are molesting kids in daycare! (Somewhere, in another state 600 miles away.) That's it I'm going to get my kid out of day care because it's run by perverts!"..............
