That's politics for you.

What say we talk religion?

Nah, the troll thing was because you just dissed the man with one or two short lines. It seemed to me that you were simply trying to yank my chain. I like Rush, and think he's a good guy. So, basically, you just need to start agreeing with me more often.

Oh, BTW, I'm Catholic if that helps with the religion thang.

LMAO, you do have a great sense of humor and frankly that is more important than any of this politic stuff.

I never though of it that way but the irony is rich.

I figure the odds are way better that we are colonized from elsewhere in the universe and that once we die it will be exactly like before we were born.

I was brought up a Methodist, but became a Philistine.

Honestly?

More like 6:30. My desire to pull a cork has waned since vacation.

Same things happening here (U.K.). In the name of "diversity", some jobs are aimed specifically at migrants. Direct result is the rise of hard right groups, most notably the British National Party (B.N.P.). Until the wording was declared illegal a week ago, part of their written constitution was "Whites Only". This is not a fruit & nut group, they've got dozens of local councilors and two members voted in as members of the European Union. You could think of the Union as a fledgling United States of Europe. It's already got a common currency and a raft of laws that superced national governments. I've strong personal reasons against racism; in 1971 I was engaged to be married to a Chinese girl. My parents were ok with this, hers weren't and gave her a choice; him or your family. She had honor, so really it was no choice at all. I'm white English, she was Asian. Her family never met me; they only knew what I was, not who I was. The only reason I bring this up is to show racism cuts both ways. Long term it does nothing but damage, but trying to change it, (especially at a time of high unemployment) by giving any racial group an advantage is doing more harm than good.

The problem is I think that a lot of the people who set the rules don't have time to do their own in-depth research, so depend on advisers. Seems to me that some of these 'advisers' have personal agendas of their own.

Combwork.
