I am betting that Santos will resign within the month. Source of his wealth is highly suspect and chances are the law is getting very close for Kev's comfort. Santos will claim that he is resigning his position, regretfully of course to become Trump's campaign manager.
Trump will claim the next day that he does not know Santos and that will be last anyone will hear of him for a while.

Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) has been accused of orchestrating a credit card skimming operation in which he schemed to steal information from ATM and credit cards, according to a sworn statement from a former roommate of his obtained by Politico.
The declaration from Gustavo Ribeiro Trelha, who said he met Santos when he rented a room in a Florida apartment from the now-congressman, states he was accused of a federal crime of credit card fraud in 2017 and pleaded guilty. Trelha, who is from Brazil, served seven months in prison and was then deported.

This guy is nothing more than a garden variety crook without any special talent and seems to have led a life of crime. Why the hell did he want to be a Congressman? He didn't think his background will be investigated by the media? Is he this dumb because crooks generally keep a low profile.

A cynic might say he's particularly qualified to be a congressman.

A realist would say he's particularly qualified to be a Republican congressman.

Felons can be elected to the House or Senate, but its another felony if they vote. Incredible logic.

So would it be a felony if they vote in the House or the Senate?
I imagine not, but it should be.

As long as they do not vote for themselves, so they are OK.
As for voting in the House or the Senate, since they write the laws, my logic tells me they are above the law, since otherwise, no new laws can be passed.
That now opens up another discussion, should they be passing new laws or also repeal old ones that do not apply anymore?
