My thoughts go to all the families and friends of the victims.

Depending on who you read, we've had somewhere between 275 and 1500 mass shootings in this country this year.* I don't think most people even notice or care any more. The news cycle for this latest will be 24 hours.

Harmon, you are lucky to not live here. This country has become the land of hate, intolerance and discontent. All cheered on and encouraged by our cheeto in chief. Says a lot about the people of this country huh? When we allow someone like cheeto to hold office? When we ignore cheeto's constant lies and petty attacks. When we ignore the damage he's doing not only to this country but to countries around the world. I'm actually surprised the UN hasn't declared the USA to be a threat to the rest of the world, what with our arsenal and a crazy man at the helm. Nobody is safe.

Anyway, we've moved on from mass murders, unless it affects us personally we don't care, it's old and boring news. We are as a nation now totally absorbed in persecuting the sexual misdeeds of people done over the past 4 decades.

Big night in the Ville USA! With the kids candy and all. Then the big game getting ready to come on. I haven't been on the computer much at all.

The event in NYC is truly awful and uncalled for. But I'm not to sure much can be done that is not already being done. Unless we enact a police state but even then I'm not to sure they will not still be such events. Hate is on the rise and seems to no stopping it.

The country is numb to this kind of stuff, HK. We act all upset about it for a day or two and move on to the next outrage, courtesy of der Trumpenfuhrer's insistence upon dominating the news cycle with his profound idiocy. The unparalleled Las Vegas strategy is all but forgotten, for example.
