He was impeached so that covers charges. Also the way that it is written in the 14th amendment leaves out convicted IIRC. At the time it was passed they had just went through dealing with insurrection and saw the need to suspend this need be a good guess.

I do not disagree at all. Haven't heard a learned one say the 14th will stick to him yet today.

Edit: I am sure I could find a team blue lawyer that says it will stick if I looked.

Not sure if it does anywhere. I am just giving my opinion of what SCOTUS is going to use to overturn.

I hope it sticks, I think we are all going to be disappointed.

Also the Colorado Repb party already said they will just switch from a primary to a caucus format (no ballots required) so Trump can participate.
