Globalization was taken place long before any of that. As a matter of fact globalization was forced on American and European capitalists because many of their products were becoming uncompetitve in the world at large versus especially those of the Japanese.

Where have all the good jobs gone from Japan? Flip over any modern electronics equipment; "Made in Taiwan, China, Indonesia......". The vast majority of cars they sell here now are.......Assembled
here from parts made in a a lot of places
other than Japan. Ever heard the term, "Lost Generation"?
The Japanese worker made the same mistake workers here and in Europe did; They actually expected to
live on their wages. And, in this day and age, THAT will not be tolerated so long as cheaper labor sources can be found.
