New York City mayor heckled, booed at police graduation
NYC cops are and have always been out of line.
Any mayor who stands up for a minority is a problem for them
They pulled this same 'us against them' crap when Dinkins was mayor.
My Facebook is littered with my friends re-posting all kinds of Cop stuff and you can't really reply because this mentality of unconditional supports is demanded by all cops and their families. No conversations allowed.
'it's a real problem in my opinion, what can be done?

The Mayor has to manage the top cops. The top cops have to manage the rest.
I expect over the next few weeks, some top cops should be replaced.

The union led by Lynch is following the dictates of the NY republicans.
I doubt many of the cops know that they are being used politically.

That's the way I'm seeing it out here. The back turning at the funeral was beyond disrespectful. At least the commish is providing some push back. Hell, I just saw that prick Rudy Ghouliani criticizing Lynch and co.

You respect the office, even if you do not respect the man (if you've chosen to be in that chain of command).
Concur with disrespect and add unprofessional.

Zeke, what is it that caused your fear of the first person pronoun? You seem never to use it.
Really, Zeke, I mean this. Get some help, man.

Unprofessional? Really? It's insubordination. And in any job I know of, insubordination is grounds for immediate dismissal. And should be even more so in situations like law enforcement and the military where the rank and file is walking around armed. They should fire every stinking one of them that was insubordinate...kiss your juicy pension goodbye, scumbag.

DeBlasio is not responsible for the second biggest screw-up in the US Constitution behind slavery.

The city probably cannot afford to fire a some of them and then have to pay them for life.

the New York Post said new weekly crime statistics from the police department were evidence that police had begun an undeclared "virtual work stoppage" in protest
The number of court summonses issued for minor crimes dropped 94 percent to 300 last week, from 4,831 over the same week in 2013.
I have totally had it with these bums.
