Guns in bars.........
And what problem, exactly, is THAT supposed to solve?
Alcohol + firearms = What?

So a guy walks into a bar....
thirty guys are sitting there unarmed... (you've figured out by now this is not a joke)
The guy that walked in pulls a gun and starts popping the defenseless drunk.
How many more die if the bartender is denied his right to carry, than if he weren't?
I'm pretty sure it's still illegal to be under the influence and packing.

I've also figured out that that bar is not in Georgia, even before this law is passed.
Let's see, by process of elimination I also know it's not in Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, it sure as hell ain't Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Tennessee....................
Maybe I need to approach this different. Where can you go into a bar where you will find 30 dudes all unarmed?

Who cares?
It's a bunch of Georgia Good ol' Boys were talking about.
Let'em get drunk and start shooting each other.

The new law, which goes into effect July 1, allows licensed gun owners in Georgia and visitors from 28 other states to bring a gun into a bar without restrictions and carry a firearm into some government buildings that don't have security measures. It also allows school districts to decide whether they want some employees to carry a firearm and religious leaders to decide whether to allow licensed gun owners to tote to their church, synagogue or mosque.

So, you think it's a good thing if all the drunken patrons pull out their shooting irons and start wailing away. Feckin' brilliant.

It is still illegal to carry while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. People are allowed to drive their cars to and from bars, even though driving under the influence is illegal.

So, I guess you're advocating for a "designated shooter?"

In places like Georgia, Mississippi, et al?
Damn right I do. I love it. It's an idea whose time has come. Long overdue, actually. In fact, I think the next law they pass should make murder in redneck bars perfectly legal. Call it the "Sumbitch Asked for It" law
