Beatles Second Album Salvation $1....Capitol Rainbow...pretty quiet for 50 + years. I better dust my gear off!

At an estate sale in NW Indiana yesterday, a nice little Advent 400 table top FM receiver and the accompanying 400 speaker. Kloss designed and first offered in 1974. It works great and sounds pretty darn good. Five bucks.
Looks just like this one.

From the goodwill yesterday a Denon DRA-435R reciever, 7 bucks. Its not so desireable as far as vintage goes, but it's clean, everything works, and the Totem Mani-2's sound great.
Looks like this...no remote.

The Old & In The Way Garcia side project is sort of rare, and the Dick's Picks comps are a bit pricey on the Bay. The Flaming Lips DVD audio of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots is a score, as well as Van's out of print Saint Dominic's Preview. The clear ones are the Grateful Dead Live From Filmore East Feb 1969 (they were opening for Janis) and Fallout From The Phil Zone.
Some poor guy must have died and left his Dead collection for the thrift. I left behind a bunch of other Dead CDs...not much of a fan but I grab the ones that look sort of rare.

Cool! Nice haul! I'd really like to have the Dick's Picks CDs. The other Dead CDs, Old & In The Way and the Feat I have on vinyl.

18 bottles of 1983 Edle Weingärten Würzer Auslese for 59 Euros, shipping included. (Ebay)
Würzer is a very rare type of grape, it is related to the better known Gewürztraminer.
The wine tastes fantastic, 33 years old, but still very fine.

Technics SL-7
Dual 450
Nice condition. The Technics is a little jewel, as vintage audio aficionados know.
40 Euros in the local second hand store.
