I think independently all the time. Do you ever respond to posts without the Dems providing talking points? That's exactly what you posted above.
The "bi-partisan DACA deal" wasn't just a "DACA deal". It was an an immigration reform bill that failed to resolve a number of disagreements, not only with the White House but with other Senators involved in the talks. It provided token funding for the border wall which Trump insisted was a requirement, and a token reduction in chain migration.
Now, to your other question about the budget: again, you may be suffering from old or bad talking points. A 2018 budget was already submitted by the White House 10 months ago, and and the Senate passed its own version of the budget in October, and the House voted to adopt the Senate's version of the Budget later in Oct. What's at issue now is final spending package, not the budget itself.
