Stephen Hawking changes his mind ...

.... and says that God wasn't necessary to the creation of the universe.

I wonder which renowned scientist will refute this - Pat Robertson ?

Ray Comfort?

You know, I can see this getting ugly. I won't be surprised if some of our Christian Taliban start implying that Hawking is just "mad at God" for making him the way He did.

It's all been explained by Jerry Falwell. God made the universe so that we could be conned by evangelical TV show nutjobs who convince believers to give them a big pile of cash so that they can eat way too much pie and die in a pool of custard surrounded by hookers.

You mean more than they do already?

I love this bit though:

However, religious commentators have criticized Hawking's theorizing, saying he can never hope to explain what is essentially unexplainable.
Because, obviously, they can explain what they freely admit to be unexplainable. Idiots.

No, The Almighty made the banana to fit in our hand - and our mouth - in just the right way. You see, since God made us in his own image, His hand must be like our hand, except His would be bigger, stronger and more beautiful (but not in a gay way). That means He wouldn't change our hands for anything.
