You are a sentimental ol' coot, Chas. But then, who doesn't have a soft spot for dogs?
P.S. Thanks for the link.
Regards,
D-Ray

Beautiful, but sadly brings the pain back to the surface.

I know what you mean Rob. I sometimes get a tear in my eye even when I think of ol' Tippy.
And Tippy wasn't very loveable. As a matter of fact, he could have got a job working nights at any junkyard in America.

It had me thinking of Spot. Only Spot was a "sweetheart". In other words, a pussy. Totally useless in any junkyard, but very, very loyal and affectionate.

Who of today's personalities have anywhere near the stature of Jimmy Stewart? Certainly not Bruce Willis. Tom Hanks? I can't really think of any others to nominate.
All I have to do to be reminded of Shock is to see JJIII's avatar. (And I don't mind that at all. )
Regards,
D-Ray

Gary Sinise is one that I admire, in large part for his work in Iraq and with the USO.
(I hope your dog Shock was better lookin' than my avatar!)

no one
times are different today and there is too much money in exposing folks personal lives which negates any image today from being as Stewart's was.
