Welcome to the 1%.

We ARE the 1%.

"Nearly half of the world's richest one per cent of people live in the U.S., according to a top economist.

But the threshold required to make it in to that elite group is lower than you might think - just $34,000 per person.

While the Occupy Wall Street movement has focussed on the top one per cent of earners in the U.S., Branko Milanovic, a World Bank economist, has suggested that anti-inequality protesters should be more concerned with wealth disparity across the globe."

Right, because the median income for a family of 4 in the US is $136,000 per year.

This is just more bullshit from the 1% to try to convince the rest of us that we should be grateful for the ass raping we're getting from them.

I mean as long as the average Americans working schmuck has it better than some beggar in the streets of Calcutta, we're doing fine.

It is simply information that I thought interesting. Knowledge is power and all that.

There is an expression I recall 'Physician heal thyself. Maybe just for a change we should correct the situation here at home and let other countries fix their own problems.

Maybe Mr. Milanovic should mind his own business.

Then you should be voting Democrat instead of for people like Romney.

I can think of some other quotes that fit your post better.

The source you used, "The Daily Mail" is basically like Orwell's "Ministry of Truth".

WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
