Public corruption investigators in Texas confirmed Wednesday they are looking into the state's agriculture chief after allegations arose that he used taxpayer funds to obtain a so-called "Jesus shot" in Oklahoma, an injection marketed as curing pain for life.

The Jesus Shot is "embarrassingly named" according to Oklahoma medical authorities, but they find nothing illegal about this marketing of an anti-inflamatory treatment. This 'doctor' lost his license in Ohio, previously, over medical fraud. No comment in the story about the purported claim that it 'cures pain for life.'

If he has made that claim, I wish him pain for life, and lots of it.

That a Texas Republican would go for it, and stick the taxpayers for such stupidity, is outrageous, but par for the course with these idiots.
