I cannot see the need for any weapon bigger than a handgun either. I can also understand the frustration with the nra for backing laws allowing it.
Now comes the But part...
I think the NRA would view any gun law as a weakness.
I can see your point of view on this and i cannot say your wrong.
The mistrust is high on both sides. I am a firm believer that any new laws will not help with what we are seeing.
I think that any parent that has a firearm accessible to anyone but himself, in this day and age is stupid. Do we need a law to tell people this???
We sure need more education, because this stuff did not happen when i was growing up.

By the way, my invasion in a heartbeat, was not meant from another country, it was meant from within. Gangs and any lawless group would have no repercussion. Chicago has the most restrictive gun laws in the country. The lawless could give a crap about the law.
