They're still camping out at a racetrack in Hagerstown, MD and driving down to the Beltway every day, but being thwarted in their attempts to drive into the city while being ignored by everybody else in the DC area. They're frustrated that nobody here gives a shit about them and their ill-defined wingnut grievances. Meanwhile, they're getting moral support from Gym Jordan and Cancun Ted.

Like I said elsewhere, what did they actually hope to achieve by circling the DC beltway and they wouldn't have been allowed enter the city to block up the roads there. Enough vehicles to slow down traffic but not enough to bring it to a stop. Slowdowns on the beltway are commonplace. The DC beltway is a totally different animal than Ottawa. Many routes into and out of DC and regular travelers know the ins and outs around blockages.

People’s Convoy Gets Hilariously Trolled by Lone D.C. Bicyclist

The People’s Convoy got a taste of its own medicine on Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C., when a single bicyclist moving at a snail’s pace brought the truckers to a near halt by occupying an entire lane of traffic in front of them.

If you click on the video you can hear the sound of many many truck horns blaring.

After just 3 weeks, the truck convoy is leaving the DC area, now painfully aware of their own political and social impotence, but at least they got to waste a ton of money and time, camp out in freezing temperatures, and not have any of their demands met. Sad.

The dreams of the “People’s Convoy” quickly died in the Bay Area after a critical tactical error: turning onto a street with a Safeway and a group of bored kids.

A lone cyclist slow-rolling them in DC, eggs in San Fran, the "People's Convoy" comedy tour rolls on.

It would almost be worth it to post some signs up Adelanto way in the high desert just to drive home the point that no matter how many miles they drive and how much fuel they waste, they'll always be the clowns that everybody points at and laughs.
