Shame. That's right, he is ashamed of her. Because she works at Lowes and has no insurance. I don't know if it's Medicare or SSDI or what, but he said, "She went to the government, begging for a handout."

I told him,
"A handout? Get in the fucking car and go to the hospital, asshole."
"She's taking your tax money, Dave."
"I don't give a shit. All I care about is that she's getting taken care of. The only people I'm mad at is her useless cheapskate employer and YOU!"

He hung up on me. But keeps trying to buddy up again on Facebook. Every time, I ask him how she's doing, he logs off.

I don't care, he makes me sick right now.

How many of you understand why?

Dave
What a complete asshole. She needs to be rid of him.

To be honest, I am surprised that there are actually Americans who think like that. I always figured most people would put the well being of their loved ones first. Guess not.

So this is what the hard right looks like, huh?

Yep. Sure does. I have peeps who are unhappy with my Sister,-----because she used her VA benefits for her heart surgery.

What in the hell was she supposed to do, Erik? Get stuck with a bill in excess for $100k? She makes $9 an hour working for those stingey bastards at Home Depot. See, what the right doesn't seem to comprehend, is that when that happens people just file bankruptcy and the rest of us end up paying for it anyways + the costs associated with the bankruptcy. Their thinking makes no sense to me at all.

Dave I think I know how you feel. The Right has been able to convince some people that any help from the Government is wrong. Must be able to do it on your own. But today it is getting harder and harder for the average American to obtain affordable healthcare.

Just the other day a ardent Tbagger friend of forty years was overjoyed at the thought of ACA going down. Then when asked about his son having to get insurance his answer was "that's his worry, not mine!"

I don't call him much at all anymore, due to the fact we are so far apart in views right now.

Beginning to wake up to the fact that what we have here is what my British cousins call the Jack System, as in "Screw you Jack, I've got mine" are we?
