Arab League wants the U.N. to help in Syria

I have a friend who is from Hom, I'll have to get his take on it.

This seems to be a fundamental shift in the Leagues position that Syria's problems are an Arab issue.
Maybe they didn't appreciate the Russian and Chinese defense of the Syrian oligarchy in the recent veto at the Security Council.

Syria is best left to the Syrians. The Alawite minority wielding power is a sure bet against the "Balkanization" of Syria.

What a tragedy, poor people who are caught in the middle of all of this. Last I heard Russia is now getting on board with France's new plan.

The leadership in Syria made some concessions today but not enough it seems.
