As usual, Jennifer Rubin gets it right.
Quote:
Unless and until Trump is impeached, resigns or loses reelection, he and his brand of politics dominate the GOP. The only means to free itself of the yoke of Trump is to discard the personnel and policies that embody his white racial resentment ploy. With a unified voice, Republicans can denounce the president’s alt-right advisers, the voting fraud commission (which itself is a fraud), the proposed pardon of anti-immigrant hero Joe Arpaio and other symbols of Trump’s identification with white grievance. The GOP either rejects Trump or once and for all it sacrifices the Party of Lincoln to a ragtag band of white nationalists — some more subtle than others but all an anathema to American democracy.

Yeah. Keep waiting for the destruction of an object or somebody else to do something to fix the problems
Good luck with that.

Tell that to your Dear Leader as he remains active trying to destroy the American ideal.

My bit is done on the golden keyboard of the Excellence in Websurfing Network.
And I'm decent to everyone in real life, but I assume you are too. Important not to assume character and ideology are strongly linked. The latter is just ideas in the brain, don't have to relate to reality at all, and very often do not.

I had a very successful 38-year engineering career that took me all over the country and the world, thank you very much.

Skeeter Nation should take a hint from The National Review and get a clue.

Still working, 33rd year at MegaCorp, quite content.
I think that one's world view is broadened immensely by travel, especially by immersing oneself in another culture, learning its language and arts. I can't help but believe that millions of red state Trump supporters believe his BS because they are so utterly uneducated, uncultured, and have never really travelled (beyond the typical American tourist traps). Boorish lot.
How you going to keep them
Down on the farm
After they've seen Paris?

Indeed. These racist, xenophobic views among Trump supporters don't come from those living in and enjoying vibrant, diverse communities.
