Best job I ever had was a small company of about 24 people and we had a lefty boss. He was successful and we were very happy working for him. Actually it was the closest in wage disparity I have ever had in a job between what low guy and owner made. Political leanings I think have no effect on small business. Large business much different story. Now being a union guy the right wing way of running businesses can kiss my ass.
