Nope, my point is that I don't acknowledge your premise as well as...
I guess you could call it "adding" goalposts.
(also, I edited it after you quoted it)

FWIW, I've actually discussed that election with her personally. A 40 minute conversation. McCain had no intention of winning that election. That's why he picked her.
Then again, maybe this is just all show for Biden too.

I liked McCain, but honestly think he was past his sell-by date by then tho a decent running mate could have made a difference if it was a sincere effort.

I saw McCain as a democrat. But Romney even more so. And based on what Romney has been up to these last couple of years, I'm trying to figure out why he hasn't switched parties.

I think at the time there was some speculation that he picked Palin as the "soon to be" president. However, I think everyone that said that was just joking. Nobody's joking this time. I think they are just praying to whatever "god" they believe in that he doesn't go "full blown dementia" during a debate or anything before the election, sincerely hoping he'll win and then they can just quietly retire him some time after he's sworn in. He is on the rapid mental decline phase. As bad as he is now, just wait until October.
It was and is important to note that McCain's mother was and is still alive, and all that that implies for his potential longivity.

"The Economist US presidential forecast" finds that Joe Biden currently has 83% chance of winning America's presidency
New Economist model predicts the 2020 election using machine learning to combine polling and fundamental factors

Donny is toast. He won't go willingly, though - he'll need to be escorted out by the generals.

Remains to be seen if courts will decide well, overly-stuffed with reich-wing appointees as they are. I think there's no way the election will be seen as legitimate. Fate of country will be decided by other means.

I do think 2020 will be the country's last presidential election, assuming 2016 wasn't.
