Crazy. Why would they be offering black people loans?
We need to wipe out these bankers to make sure blacks never get a loan ever again.

ROTFLMAO!!

I've seen proof of slimey brokers working in the hood, even before the bubble really grew. I'd love to see the book thrown at these people.

But it doesn't change the fact, that if you make $2000 a month, and you sign a loan for $2000 a month, you are going to default.

Congress fought hard to allow these practices to continue without obstruction (in the interest of course of everyong being entitled to home ownership). Now besides Barney Frank, which group of people treat entitlement almost like a religion?

From October 2002. Republican majority in the House, 50 seat Democratic "majority" in the Senate.

Now that he's gone and the failures of his administration apparent, he's somehow viewed as a Democrat (or worse) by the GOP faithful.

Increasing home ownership has always been an aim, because the old adage, homeowners don't go communist

Did Bush force Fannie/Freddie to loosen their lending standards?

Whether he forced it is debatable. That he allowed it is not.
