Federal court will hold first-ever hearing on climate change science

This ought to be interesting:

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nati...203842084.html

WASHINGTON
A federal judge in San Francisco has ordered parties in a landmark global warming lawsuit to hold what could be the first-ever U.S. court hearing on the science of climate change.

The proceeding, scheduled for March 21 by U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup, will feature lawyers for Exxon, BP, Chevron and other oil companies pitted against those for San Francisco and Oakland — California cities that have accused fossil fuel interests of covering up their role in contributing to global warming.

Experts on both sides say Alsup’s call for a climate change “tutorial” is unlike anything they’ve heard of before.

For those of you keeping score, Alsup is the same Judge that blocked Trump from ending the DACA program.

Since our resident moron never bothered to follow up, here's what happened:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/25/c...o-oakland.html

Quote:
The judge, William Alsup of Federal District Court in San Francisco, acknowledged the science of global warming and the great risks to the planet, as did the oil and gas companies being sued. But in his ruling, Judge Alsup said the courts were not the proper place to deal with such global issues, and he rejected the legal theory put forth by the cities.

“The problem deserves a solution on a more vast scale than can be supplied by a district judge or jury in a public nuisance case,” Judge Alsup wrote in a 16-page opinion.
So, everyone but Whell and his gang of idiots acknowledges the science of global warming. It's time for the Repubes in Congress to acknowledge it also, and do something before it's too late.

Federal judge casts doubt on Trump’s drilling plans across the U.S. because they ignore climate change
The ruling temporarily halts drilling on 300,000 acres of leases in Wyoming.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/clima...climate-change

Quote:
A federal judge ruled late Tuesday that the Interior Department violated federal law by failing to take into account the climate impact of its oil and gas leasing in the West.

The decision by U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Rudolph Contreras marks the first time the Trump administration has been held to account for the climate impact of its energy-dominance agenda, and it could have sweeping implications for the president’s plan to boost fossil fuel production across the country. Contreras concluded that Interior’s Bureau of Land Management “did not sufficiently consider climate change” when making decisions to auction off federal land in Wyoming to oil and gas drilling. The judge temporarily blocked drilling on roughly 300,000 acres of land in the state.
Small wonder Senate Repubes are so desperate to confirm judges to their liking that they're willing to throw out long-standing rules.

A couple of things:

1. President Trump is the greatest and most intelligent president in the history of America.

2. The climate does change naturally and has done so since the beginning of time. However, only an uneducated MORON would believe human activity has anything to do with it.

3. The unelected criminal MORON Jim Crow Joe has put THOUSANDS of American energy workers out of work based on the idiotic climate change myth.

PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.

The planet did not warm when Algore warned it would. The beaches of Florida were not completely submerged by the year 2000 as he said they would be. We've having record cold spells in the midwest and the south today, (although Florida is experiencing nice toasty 77 degree days).

Anyone who believes in global warming is a moron.

The libs represent a DEBT, mostly run up by idiots with Lesbian Dance Theory degrees.

No sensible American would want to own that. I just occasionally out think, out debate and generally out smart pretty much every waterhead WokeLib here.

Not really hard to do. I've actually subbed at some ESE/Autism classes who could out debate these local idiots.

You are a poster child for the Dunning-Kruger effect.
