Broke is having no cash. Starving is having no food.

They are different things, though the first tends to promote the second....

Picked up a pair of Dahlquist DQ-20i for $150 from SF. Did not meet the owner and the seller said one of the woofer's does not work. One speaker was disassembled with the woofer out, the other speaker is intact. Brought the woofer inside and it measures good for DCR, no VC rub so should be OK. Plan to dig into it further over the week end.

I have a pair of DQ-20's in use and one started making non musical sound at loud volumes yesterday. So at the very least hoping to swap one good speaker for my flaky one.

Post up a pic when you get a chance. I've listened to some DQ10s once. Not bad for the one brief listen.

The DQ-20's are awesome speakers IMO and beat out the DQ-10 & DQ-30 I had concurrently.
Lucked out here, just a blown fuse on the woofer. So it will be soon on it's way to a friend's home.

Sansui AU-G99X, $120 at Goodwill. Real fancy price for a Goodwill item, but it seemed fine in in-store testing....

160 per channel. Biggest amp Sansui had at the time, which was 84-85.

I think it's a class G amp so it acts like it's even more powerful. Nice amp.
