At least one lead referred to this as the National buffoon's European vacation.

On balance Trump, despite his negatives, did well.

Trump is one of the few American politician who realized and expressed that the US has bitten off more than it can chew and is being taken for a ride by many of its so called friends.

Globalization, has been over sold, and has not been good to mom and pop in the US. I have been to several places in the US and have noticed that Mom and Pop's businesses have for the most part disappeared.

Can someone inform me if this has happened in Germany?

What now obtain in the US are "islands" of sharp economic activities with big negatives re shelter.

Goodwill is the main thing the US has going for it. It has allowed us to enjoy huge deficits. How long that can continue is anyone's guess.

The US deficit is big in abosolute numbers, but then the US economy is huge. The US deficit in 2016 is given here as 2.9% of GDP. About the same as China's 3%, a country generally thought to be in excellent shape. Compare France at 3.4% and the UK as 3.8%.

The feeling that our deficit is horribly massive and unsustainable is conservative myth.

Thanks for figures.
However we should not be comparing our country to China--just emerging from huge poverty with many parts still fourth world and dictatorial; UK--London, Manchester, Birmingham, the rest struggling; France--trying hard not to become a province of Germany.

We should be comparing to Germany.

Reporter Chris Ulhman from ABC Australia is notable for a piece summing up our pathetic President in two minutes.

Nixon would have been so ashamed if he'd been described this way that he would have got drunk for two weeks.
