Btw, I finally remembered to look up 'revuperation'. The 1932 Collegiate dictionary - nothing. The 1911 reference dictionary (a monster well over a foot thick originally published in 1899) - nothing.
I read a lot of old books so it still might be a word, plus I have a hard time believing I could come up with it out of the blue. Maybe early onset dementia?

It's probably French. They have a different word for everything.
